A report was recently released that the author Takahiro and the designer of Vtubers Mika Pikazo, will be collaborating in the production of a project called “World Dai Star”. This project is also called “Engeki Girls” translated as “Theatrical Girls Project”, we can only speculate what this means since not much information has been given about what this mysterious but interesting collaboration is about.
World Dai Star Information
It is understood that Takahiro will be writing the story for this original project, while Mika Pikazo will be developing the character designs. Likewise, it was announced that there will be a live broadcast scheduled for November 27 at 7:30 p.m. (Japan time), which will give us more information about what the original project will be about. Many of us are waiting for a possible adaptation to an anime, OVA, movie, or even a game.
The broadcast will feature the participation of famous voice actresses such as Manaka Iwami, Ikumi Hasegawa, MAria Naganawa, Minami Tanaka, Reina Kondo and Shuka Saitou. Leaving that aside, Takahiro has participated in the development of different very famous anime projects such as: Yuki Yuna is a Hero (Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru), Samurai Flamenco, They are my Noble Masters (Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de) and Girls Beyond the Wasteland (Shoujo-tachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu). It is worth adding that Takahiro is the author of the mangas Akame ga Kill! and Slave of Magic Capital's Elite Troops (Mato Seihei no Slave), each of these having its anime adaptation.
On the other hand, Mika Pikazo has participated as an illustrator in light novels such as: Live Dungeon!, Saikyou Juzoku Tensei: Cheat Majutsushi no Slow Life, Butsuriteki ni Koritsu shiteiru Ore no Koukou Seikatsu and Apocalypse Witch: Houshoku Jidai no “Saikyou”-tachi e, among other. She is also very famous for being the “mother” or creator of VTubers designs like Hakos Baelz, Kaguya Luna and Pinky Pop Hepburn.
World Dai Star Personal Opinion
I honestly don't know what to think about this possible project, but it is worth mentioning that it has some very curious participations. The voice actresses and the illustrator have a good chance of becoming one of the most famous anime of the time just for being considered “waifus”. I also have to add that honestly the art makes me think it will be some kind of anime card game. Not to think anything bad about this project, but usually when I love art it ends up being a game I will never play (sadly).
To conclude, This project is very mysterious, and nothing more is known about what one of the (possibly main) characters of this project looks like. I'm looking forward to it being a multimedia project and not a game like I said before, as I'm sure many of us will be able to enjoy it more. However, I must also emphasize that I will be keeping an eye on the broadcast and will be attentive to the news that comes out about this project, because I know it will be worth it.
