The long-awaited third season of the beloved KonoSuba anime is closer than ever. This beautiful Christmas day we receive the gift of being able to see what will come in the new season. The official media decided to reveal the trailer for the next sequel. The tentative premiere date of the new season is set for April 2024. Just look at this:

The animation house Studio Drive will be in charge of the animation for this season. Yujiro Abe will be the director and Makoto Uezu will supervise the composition of the series. Koichi Kikuta is responsible for designing the characters and Masato Koda has composed the music. The series has already released a special trailer and 3 additional cast members joining the plot. The main cast reprises their roles:
- Sora Amamiya as Aqua
- Jun Fukushima as Kazuma Sato
- Rie Takahashi as Megumin
- Ai Kayano as Darkness
As we can see in the trailer, Kazuma continues to have adventures full of misfortunes together with Aqua, Darkness and Megumin. But, we can see that at the end of the trailer a new character appears that will surely change the way this group does things. We look forward to seeing what awaits our hilarious KonoSuba characters.
The KonoSuba anime is based on a light novel series written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima. It was initially published in 2013 and ended in 2020 with 17 volumes. The light novel inspired a television anime adaptation with the first season airing in 2016 and the second in 2017. Studio DEEN encouraged both. In 2019 a film was released JC Staff, while a Megumin spin-off anime titled KonoSuba: An Explosion On This Wonderful World encouraged by Studio Drive It aired in the spring season and ended on June 21.
KonoSuba Synopsis
«Kazuma Satou, a quiet high school student, unfortunately met his death while returning from a video game store. In the afterlife, he met a beautiful but unpleasant goddess named Aqua, which threatened to ruin their experience. She gave him the choice between ascending to heaven or being reincarnated in a player utopia. Kazuma chose the latter option and was tasked with defeating a Demon King who was causing chaos in the village. Despite choosing Aqua as his partner, he soon realized his mistake, as she was not of much help. Living in this new world was expensive and its basic needs were not free, which made it markedly different from the real world. Furthermore, his misfortunes only aggravated his problems.
