Promising games coming out in 2023

We are already in 2023, and the beginning of a new year brings new games. Last month's Game Awards revealed many promising games, both long-awaited sequels and entirely new concepts. There are so many games announced that it's sometimes a little hard to keep up, plus a lot of the games announced aren't even coming out this year, but that's what I'm here for. These are the games coming out this year that I think will be worth trying.

Forspoken

Release date: January 24

Platforms: PlayStation 5, Windows

This game is an action RPG developed by Luminous Productions and published by Square Enix. Forspoken follows the story of Frey, a young New Yorker who is transported to Athia, a land both beautiful and cruel. In search of a way back home, Frey must use his newfound magical abilities to traverse vast landscapes and battle monstrous beings.

Dead Space Remake

Release date: January 27th

Platforms: Playstation 5, Windows, Xbox Series X|S

This is a survival horror developed by Motive Studio and published by Electronic Arts. I have previously talked about this game, in it you find yourself stranded on a mining spaceship that you went to as part of a rescue team since it suddenly stopped communicating. To get out you must face the threat that destroyed the team that was on the ship. If you haven't played it before, this is the best time since the remake will bring many improvements in both graphics and gameplay.

Hogwarts Legacy

Release date: Feb. 10

Platforms: Playstation 5 & 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S & Xbox One, Windows

Hogwarts Legacy is an action RPG developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment. This game is based on the world of Harry Potter, although this connection is only for the universe since it has nothing to do with the story told in the books. You play as a Hogwarts student who is the key to an ancient secret that threatens to destroy the wizarding world.

The Last of Us Part I

Release date: March 3rd

Platforms: PlayStation 5, Windows

The Last of Us is an action adventure developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. This is a very famous game, you have probably already played it, but, just as there are a large number of people who have played it, there are also many who have not had the opportunity to play this masterpiece due to its exclusivity with Playstation. Fortunately the title has finally been adapted for computers, so this will be the best time to try this game.

Resident Evil 4 Remake

Release date: March 24th

Platforms: Playstation 5 & 4, Xbox Series X|S, Windows

After waiting 3 years since the last remake, Capcom returns another of its famous third-person survival horror titles to the present. Residen Evil 4 puts you back in the shoes of Leon Kennedy, this time he was assigned the mission to rescue Ashley Graham, the daughter of the president of the United States, who was kidnapped and taken to a Spanish town dominated by “Los Iluminados” , a violent cult that worships an ancient parasite.

Crime Boss: Rockay City

Release date: 28th March

Platforms: Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S

The trailer for this game caught my attention when I was watching the Game Awards. In it you play as Travis Baker, who is determined to become the new king of crime in Rockay City. This game is about organized crime that combines fps action and fights for territory between different criminal groups. Additionally, its cast includes several well-known people such as Chuck Norris and Vanilla Ice. In my opinion, it seems like it will be a combination between GTA and Mafia.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Release date: May 12

Platforms: nintendo switch

The sequel to Breath of the Wild and the most anticipated game of this year. Not much has been revealed about this game, but some of the things we know is that it will take place in a changed Hyrule since it was apparently destroyed by something and now has floating islands similar to those in Skyward Sword, its story will take on a more tone. dark compared to its predecessor and Ganondorf may return.

I hope you like these recommendations, see you next time!
