Quest 3: The Evolution of the VR world that DID NOT come to be
We continue with the Meta Quest 3 VR leaks, in this case referring to the screen that this headset will have in the future. At this point we have almost all the information about Meta's future virtual reality headset.
It is nothing new that Meta considers the 120Hz refresh rate as necessary to have the best VR experience, however, we have them in Meta Quest 2 and they have not made any revolution since unless we play in PCVR only a few titles natives reach this high refresh rate, making it almost nonsense.
Even so, Meta continues to bet on these 120Hz and although it is true that the Meta Quest Pro, which has a price of €1800 and does not reach more than 90Hz, John Carmack commented at Connect that all of its future VR devices, therefore that we included the Quest 3 among these, they were going to support the famous 120Hz.
This information had also been leaked by Samulia, a major leaker through data mining of firmware updates. Through all the mining of updates that has been done, we can get a lot of information about the features that the Quest 3 will have.
Meta Quest 3 VR Leaks – A single LCD screen, no Local Dimming and 120Hz
Among the most relevant filtered characteristics we have the Quest 3 will have a single LCD screen with a resolution of 2,064 x 2,208 pixels per eye, which represents an increase of one 30% compared to Quest 2. Another well-known leaker in the world of VR named Brad Lynch probably leaked the Quest 3 will NOT support Local Dimming as the very expensive Quest Pro do.
It has also been leaked and confirms that Quest 3 will have support up to 120Hz refresh rate.

The evolution of VR
Virtual reality technology has evolved in leaps and bounds in recent years and is changing the way we interact with the digital world. One of the most notable advances in this field is having screens with increasingly higher resolution, better colors, Local Dimming, higher refresh rate, etc...
