It had been announced that six characters from the Zombieland Saga franchise would appear in a cameo in the episode. However, this collaboration was so disappointing that social media exploded.

Everyone thought we would see the beloved Zombieland Saga characters interacting with the Zom100 characters. But this was not so. It turns out that the expected cameo was not from the characters, but rather the voice actresses simply made the grunts of some zombies. Yes, just the grunts, not even a line of voice. This surprised fans, since they at least expected to see the characters on some poster or commercial. Even fans in Japan were surprised, as the details of this cameo had been kept a secret until the episode finished airing.
This trend of collaboration meant that fans did not notice another novelty that had been highlighted in another episode. From the second episode SHAFT studios were appearing in the animation credits along with the main studio BUG FILMS. However, this stopped happening in the sixth episode of Zom100 Bucket List of the Dead. SHAFT stopped appearing in the credits listings, so we know that he is no longer part of this anime.
We could say that the case of Zom100 Bucket List of the Dead is unique. BUG FILMS studios mocked OLM studios as “a horrible place to work,” only to have this same studio end up with a horrible schedule that is overwhelming their own employees. Now that SHAFT seems not to be on hand for this program only indicates problems, since many think that if the series had not been suspended indefinitely it was because of the help of this second studio.
