Koi to Use: Anime Review and Personal Criticism

We present ourselves in a society where when you reach a certain age your future partner is chosen by the government, it doesn't matter who you love at the moment. This is the simple, but at the same time complicated, plot of the anime Koi to Use. I must say that it is my guilty taste, and many people did not like this anime at all. The shape of the plot can be very annoying; When it seems like something good is finally going to happen, it doesn't happen and sometimes it can be annoying. But this is why I am doing this review, since even though it is a bad anime, it is important in my anime history. It is likely that many even know it for its incredible opening.

Anime Information: Koi to Uso

Koi to Uso premiered on July 4, 2017. It is categorized as an anime drama and Romance themed love polygon and school. It was broadcast for 3 months, with 12 episodes, each lasting 24 minutes. It was animated by the animation studio LIDENFILMS, who has done projects such as: Call of the Night, Goblin Slayer, Tokyo Revengers, Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo, among others. This animation studio is not that famous, since you don't hear much about it, but it is surprising when you realize that it has animated some pretty good anime.

Synopsis of Koi to Uso

I will leave a small synopsis ahead so you can learn a little more about the anime:

In a futuristic society, Japan has implemented a complex system called «The red threads of science» to encourage successful marriages and combat declining birth rates. Based on a compatibility calculation, the government assigns young people at the age of 16 marriage partners, with serious repercussions for those who disobey the arrangement. For Yukari Nejima, a teenager who considers himself average in every way, this system could be his best chance at living a full life. But before the government assigned him a marriage partner, he confesses his love for her. Misaki. After some initial reluctance, Misaki reciprocates his feelings in a moment of passion. Unfortunately, before the two can continue their relationship, Yukari receives her marriage notice. He then becomes embroiled in a confusing web of love and lies when his less than thrilled assigned partner, Ririna Sanada, becomes fascinated with his illicit romance.”

Personal Review – Review Koi to Use

Koi to Uso is an anime that really makes you feel many things at the same time, especially because you don't know what direction the protagonist is going into. You think he'll stay with one, but he leaves with the other and then comes back. This is why many people dislike the anime, and mainly because the manga has not ended. You can imagine what the plot will be like right now... In my case I don't really know what made me like this anime, but I still have it in a very special corner in my heart. Although, it's very likely that if I see him again I'll end up hating him.

The plot it has is very basic, and not at all new. The government chooses your partner, but the protagonist wants someone else. Obviously we know that this will turn into a very strange love polygon, but one that some enjoy. The animation of the anime is quite good, and the character design is something that I really like. The emotions that this anime makes you feel are not as strong as others, but it is still something that stands out like any romance anime. I recommend it? Only to the toughest and for general culture. I usually defend it a lot just because it has a very good opening.

This is this week's review, I hope those who see it like it even a little
