Chileans Praise Gojo Satoru with an Altar

Before saying this somewhat funny news, I must say that this blog contains SPOILERS from chapter 236 of the manga and the most recent chapter of the anime Jujutsu Kaisen. So I really recommend not reading this, if you don't know what happens in the manga. We continue…

A few days ago the leaks of the next chapter of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga came out, where it apparently confirmed that our beloved Gojo went to the afterlife, the strongest, has died. To top it off, in the most recent episode of the anime they showed us how Gojo is sealed. This is not good news at all for lovers of the character, since we will not see him again for a long time in both the anime and the manga.

This had such an impact on fans that it even reached Latin American countries, where a rather curious event occurred. In the metro stations of Chile, specifically "Manuel Montt" and "Universidad de Chile" there are advertising posters for the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen. The fans, upon learning the sad fate of the character, went to place flowers, messages and even kisses to remember the deceased character.

This event became known so widely that even the official Twitter account of the public transportation service confirmed that the situation was real.

The videos and photos of the place quickly went viral on all social networks, mainly the day the leaks of said event came out. The anime advertising that we see in Chile showed us the influence that anime characters have on society. Although it is not as spectacular an altar to Satoru Gojo as we see in China, Japan and the United States, it is still an event full of emotions.

A curious fact about this event is that if we look closely at the flowers, most are yellow. The reason for this is that it occurred on the same day as September 21, a day when many women ask their friends or partner to give them yellow flowers.

This is a trend from the novel “Floricienta”. It turns out that the main song titled "Yellow Flowers" tells how the protagonist has dreamed since she was a child how she would like to be given flowers of this color. So the production and thousands of fans decided to make this story trend. Without a doubt a day full of coincidences and events.
